One young woman sat under an umbrella, as she tapped her finger impatiently on the steel table. A cup filled near the top with a white foam had been placed in front of her; the beverage was no longer producing any steam as the customer had continued to wait in the scorching sunlight.
She had only noticed as one of the waitesses had arrived to the table that there was now someone else seated across from her. She had begun cursing at the newly arrived customer, who wore a white hood over his face. Fumbling with their drinks, they gave a simple greeting to each other; the atmospherewas dense as the two had once been at each other's throats and aimlessly shooting bullets at each other.
How long had it been... only two weeks following the woman's supposed "death." Shehad only recalled up to the point of the appearance of a stranger during the second match, but strangely enough, she had forgotten why she had been there. Both former participants had received an anonymous letter upon waking in a hospital of some sort. The letter had simply requested them to meet at a particular cafe at a specific table. It was sketchy no less, but the letter had also promised an explanation to the situation at hand.
As the two began shuffling around in their chairs, a person had approached them and generously inquired if they would not mind his presence there. The hooded figure had simply nodded to the empty chair. It was a man within his mid-thirties that had arrived; he had brown hair, which had collected into a ponytail, and a scar above his right eye. The third person had drove into the silence with a concise gesture, but such a response had put the other two on edge: "Was it surprising to find out that the both of you didn't die, Sebastian and Ito?"
With her voice hitched, Ito managed to mutter about how the third person had known their names. In reply, the addresser had grinned mlrather mischeviously before introducing, "Why? Are you telling me that you cannot recall your gracious host? My name is Blitz, but others know me better as Capricorn."
Sebastian's jaw couldn't help, but to slightly drop at this revelation, and immediately inquired the host about the letter. Rubbing his chin in thought, Capricorn had merrily explained, "We don't actually kill our contestants, you see... well, at least Roy would not want to. As for the remaining two contestants, Mac and Nova, they have both tried to revolt against the Dreamscape with a tie. Can you believe it?"
Capricorn briskly shook his head as he chuckled at the attempt before concluding, "In the end, they had refused to end their battle and for that matter, they are still stranded back up there." Capricorn had pointed to the sky as he announced the last detail. The announcer had motioned the waitress over and handed off an unknown object as he had used his sleeve to cover it from the view of the previous participants. Dusting off his clothes, he whistled as he trotted away from the table, disappearing from their sight in due time.
Within a month after the meeting at the cafe, Ito and Sebastian had already maneuvered back to their routines before arriving at Dreamscape, as if nothing had occured. Both participants were still visited by Capricorn once every other week, as it was the duty he had been ssigned with. The returned were constantly reminded by the host that Roy had was also a former contestant... the winner to be precise, who was sympathetic for those caught in the game. In fact, none of the staff had control over the Dreamscape. People would simply appear on a set date, and the only way to return was by the "wish" of one who had became a new ruler. The first "wish" of a king of Dreamscape would always hold the most power and influence as it would thenbe considered an undeniable truth or foresight. Whenever the two contestants had furrowed for Roy's story to the visiting zodiac, the host would just avoid the conversation or say that it was a private matter.
