on the outskirts of the capital of Table Land twelve brave souls gathered on a large stone slab that formed as they approached it, it looked to made of darkness itself even with the suns rays no light was shone back. Suddenly in a burst of dark fire an angelic being appeared high in the sky he was quite handsome but he gave off a feeling of pure evil which denied his celestial looks, he slowly floated down among the toys and began to speak,
"I am Moredred, I see you have done as I asked, all of you look quite brave, I will derive much fun from turning those of you with the purest of hearts into my most ruthless men. But before that let me show you the three cups of Fate"
Three cups appeared out of the slab they each had a number inscribed on them, 1, 2 and 3. They each had a different shade of black with the darkest being two in the center and the lightest being three on the right. "here they are quite the beauties aren't they?" Moredred said as he walked up to 2 and put his hand on it lightly before walking back to where he had landed. He then snapped his fingers and a small podium rose from the slan
"This here is where you will vote for the prize as well as where the Chooser will stand to choose." Moredred said a twisted smile dancing on his lips before he slowly rose up and with snap of his fingers he disappeared in a brilliant light.
...Some were able to shield there eyes...some did not...the hearts have been tainted and let the games begin...

Well since he shares his love through MANY ways, I'm guessing cup 3 since 3 is greater than one or two.

Hmm... well, trying to look at this pragmatically, I would say cup number three.
Let's not forget the hint in the form of a riddle given to us each round, here. Moredred stated that our king is fickle with his love, which most likely refers to himself, and the fickle part means that his emotions towards us toys must vary often... and are probably easily swayed too, if given the right circumstances.
Right now, based off what happened with his appearance, it is difficult to determine what mood he is exactly in... except that it is somewhat evident that he would love to corrupt us... so I would say that in this playful mood, he is more or less deceitful.
Yet the second part states that Moredred wears his heart on his sleeve... hopefully, this means that based on his actions, we can determine which of the cups holds the desired object, but let's not forget, his actions can be controlled by his emotions. Going back to what I stated earlier, based off of the passage, Moredred is most likely willing to lead us off track with ease, and he even stated that he had touched the second cup.
This simple touch would usually make one believe that the darkest cup would be the one with the ball in it, but our host here is some other-worldly being, who loves to watch us frantically panic... also, he didn't address the first at all, which seems rather strange... possibly to keep that out of our minds. Therefore, I'll go with number one.

Mordred appears on top of the podium right after a toy slid his vote into it...
"I see things are going smoothly, and your theories nourish me...hehe...they are how you say good entertainment, I thought I'd pop by and say hello" Mordred jumped down and looked back at those who have yet to vote for a reward & risk "I look forward to your choices eagerly and to the chooser choose wisely..."
and with that he flew up and disappeared...

Suddenly you all here a rather peculiar sound coming from the cups it sound like something sinking into itself and a few seconds later you hear a very audible pop, the progression of sound was right-to-left. |

I suppose that...if the pops went from right to left, then it would be natural that the ball may have moved left...I suppose cup 1 will be my choice

Even though we heard that kndeed strange sound, it doesn't mean the ball itself actually resulted in going to a different cup. What we just witnessed is the act of shuffling or randomizing, but usually, this is performed in showing the ball in addition to some quick arm movements, but the ball may not always move from its original position.
Now, let's talk about that mechanism. I doubt we would get the answer straight forward like that even if it is an observation that the sound resonated right to left.
Since these cups are on a stand of their own, it is possible that the sound is of the cup opening to collect any objects inside and randomzing if a duplicate ball should be placed inside. Therefore, I believe the direction and order of sound was trickery, so I will be moving my vote to... cup number three.
